Last week I wrote a post on Facebook explaining why I had dropped out of my usual posting on social media. It was necessary. It was being true to me and my feelings, something self-care encourages. It was a difficult week of wanting to scream at the injustices in life, face up to their continued existence and understand the duty I have, to stand up & speak up because hate kills..

Too often though, you can become externally focused, consuming more & more of ‘other’ dialogues, drowning out your own.
And as you do this you begin to shift away from your core, disconnecting from the source within and, over time, forget the importance of nurturing your needs…
How Is Your Life Being Reframed?
Not so many weeks ago, possibly months, what is fast becoming the norm was being dismissed as ‘impossible’, ’time-consuming’, something for the future.
People have been demanding the opportunity to work from home, to have the chance to work remotely, with many being told it’s not an option, ‘the company can’t function that way’.
Probably the most important top tier relationship women who are parents manage is
tied to their children. That’s not to say men aren’t tied to it too, however, even in 2020 we cannot deny the main parenting role is still expected to come from ‘mum’.
There are so many ways to implement self-care into your routine, however, what you choose must have meaning or purpose for you otherwise it is likely to drop off the schedule. It won’t be viewed as important and if anything needs to give, I’d bet money that self-care slot would be removed.
