Fear – You can run from it or face it. Don’t let fear get in your way…
For the rest of your life know that you’ll have moments of fear. You are likely to experience the desire to ‘forget everything and run’ when the going gets tough. My advice to you; don’t.
Don’t let that immediate feeling block you from discovering the strength that you possess. Your years of challenges, setbacks and wins have prepared you for the next phase. You are strong, you have power, you can find solutions; providing you refuse to re-act in the immediate. When you react, it is about taking some immediate step and when something is scary, that step is often getting as far away from the issue as possible. While it might be necessary to retreat to think clearly, that is not the same as reacting.
Consider the other option to ‘face everything and rise‘… How does that choice sit with you? Instead of running you look the situation in the eye and decide that you will overcome it. You decide to believe that within you is the power to handle the situation, whether that be alone or with the help of others. And in that moment, you empower yourself, increasing your confidence and unlocking your potential.
You step into your greatness boldly and with self-belief. You give yourself permission to utilise your inner power. You refuse to run just because you don’t have an immediate answer, just because the situation is hard or different. You stand your ground. You might lean on your faith, on hope, on a friend; use whatever works for you just refuse to back down out of fear.
And in doing so the universal laws show up to guide you and support you, leading you to your breakthrough; moving you past that which once blocked your way.
Believe me when I tell you, you are phenomenal, powerful, blessed. And in believing you are, you give yourself permission to overcome fear in all its forms…
Remember these insightful words:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love
Yes, you are magnificent beyond your knowledge and fear cannot stop you once you decide you have the power to overcome it…
